Name: Travis Brown

Age: 22

Home Town: Solon, Iowa

Number: 24

Number of years racing: 11

1997 - Travis started off racing in karts at the age of eleven. 1997 was a big year for him as he started learning the basics to racing. He learned many things his first year in racing. He was hooked up and at the end of the year for the seasons points race he finished 2nd and he was the International Kart Federation Champion.

1998 - Travis ended up 3rd in the race for the season points race. As the year progressed he worked on not only his driving skills but also the mental aspect of racing. Many people think racing is just getting in a car and going around a track and it's easy. What most people don't realize is there are a lot of things going on while you are on the track. You need to have the right mindset along with the knowledge of the car you are racing and the other opponents you are racing against. You need to study you opponents and analyze their driving habits.

1999 - Travis had made it back up to 2nd place for the year, he just couldn't quite make it to 1st but wasn't far behind the leader. As the year started to end he started thinking about the 2000 season and what he could do to get the advantage over his opponents.

2000 - Travis didn't get off to a very good start at the beginning of the season. The team struggled on getting the kart set up. Anything and everything they did just wouldn't work. They ended up in 4th place for the season's points race as it was a disappointing year for the team.

2001 - The season started off well but soon started to fade away as the summer shortened. This summer would be the first time Travis rolled a kart, luckily he walked away without a scratch. At the end of the year is when they decided Travis was going to be moving up into a Thunder Modified.

2002 - At the beginning of the year Travis didn't expect much, he just thought he would try to learn more about driving a full size race car that weighs about 2200 more pounds then a kart does. As he learned it was much different racing a full size car than a kart. In a kart you could see anything you wanted to see but in a
car all you can see is what is in front of you. At the end of the year Travis didn't end up too bad placing 7th for the season championship.

2003 - Travis was still in his learning faze of doing things on the track and with the car. He learned many things as the year went on. Travis ended up 3rd in the points race at Hawkeye Downs. Towards the end of the year they were told that the class
Travis ran in wasn't going to be ran on the asphalt in the 2004 season so for the last four races they decided Travis needed to try the dirt out and didn't do too bad. Travis won his first heat race in only his 3rd race on the dirt.

2004 - This was an exciting season as Travis was looking forward to running on the dirt. For the first year he did better than he ever hoped he could do by placing in the top five for season points. This season had its ups and its downs, but overall it was a very impressive season as he was complimented by various drivers and fans saying how impressed they were with how he was handling the first year on the dirt.

2005 - This year would be a new ballgame for Travis as he bought a new car and would be having to learn the new set-up in the car. It was a trying year as it had it's ups and it's many downs. Travis ended up placing 11th in points overall and picking up one feature poll position and 2 heat wins. As the year came to an end Travis decided on selling the car and trying his luck with a new one.

2006 - 2006 started out a little rough but, was expected since Travis had bought a new Livewire Modified from CRE out Tiffin, Ia. It was slow getting started as there were five out of ten events that fell to weather conditions in the first half of the season. As the year progressed Travis was figuring out the set-up in the car, as he would go on to win 7 heats, the most out of anyone in any division. Travis is looking forward and taking the last few years as a learning experience and is expecting big things for the 2007 season.
